Le poivrier de sichuan, bien que rustique et facile \u00e0 cultiver, est peu r\u00e9pendu chez nous. Choisissez un emplacement bien ensoleill\u00e9 dans tout types de sol, m\u00eame calcaire et argileux. La plante ne craint pas le froid (-15\u00b0C voir -20\u00b0C). Les jeunes poivriers sont plus sensible au froid. La premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, il faut l&rsquo;arroser une fois par semaine, en grosses quantit\u00e9 afin de stimuler la croissance racinaire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pepiniere-boisdelalau.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/poivre-sishuan2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"283\" height=\"204\" \/><\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';\">Le poivrier de sichuan est un petit arbre caduc, ne d\u00e9passant gu\u00e8re 2,50 m de haut. La floraison para\u00eet entre avril et juin sur le bois de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. les fleurs m\u00e2les, appel\u00e9es han-sansh\u00f5, \u00e0 la saveur plus douce que les baies, mais plus forte que les feuilles, sont aussi r\u00e9colt\u00e9es et consomm\u00e9es en mai. Les fruits forment des grappes de petits follicules \u00e0 la peau granuleuse teint\u00e9e de vieux rose tr\u00e8s aromatiques. Les baies vertes r\u00e9colt\u00e9es vers juillet, s\u00e9ch\u00e9es et moulues, offrent une saveur plus subtile, plus bois\u00e9 et florale. En r\u00e9alis\u00e9, seule la coque granuleuse vieux rose, appel\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0p\u00e9ricarpe\u00a0\u00bb, est consomm\u00e9 en tant que poivre, lorsqu&rsquo;elle se fend pour laisser \u00e9chapper la graine. Cependant, les baies peuvent aussi se consommer encore int\u00e9gralement vertes.
